Choosing a Strategic Staffing Partner |
Many employers use staffing agencies to provide workers for short-term projects and tasks and to supplement a full-time permanent workforce when the need arises. This common practice has always been a convenient way to outsource labor and to avoid the complicated administrative processes of hiring temporary employees. However, with the new Employer Mandate provision that went into effect on January 1, 2015 as part of the Affordable Care Act, there are a new set of rules and regulations to consider in defining who is responsible for offering health coverage. During this presentation, Joanne Forbes, Principal, Health & Welfare Consultant and Katharine Marshall, Compliance Advisor with HCW will review the Employer Mandate penalties and how they can be avoided, focusing specifically on the requirements for common law employers and the special rules for staffing agencies under the Employer Mandate. We will close with practical tips for employers who utilize staffing agencies, followed by a question and answer session. Join us for this event to ensure you are keeping your company in compliance! |
